Tercatat 202 korban jiwa dan 209 orang luka-luka atau cedera, kebanyakan korban merupakan wisatawan asing yang sedang berkunjung ke lokasi yang merupakan tempat wisata tersebut. Peristiwa ini dianggap sebagai peristiwa terorisme terparah dalam sejarah Indonesia.
